Supported features

Accepted syntax and availability in a market, account or running environment are separate checks.

Start with these forms

  • One symbol: or a fixed universe: list.
  • Conditional entry: / exit:, or a separate target portfolio with hold:.
  • Percentage allocations, fixed units, supported Forex standard lots, stop-risk and volatility objectives.
  • Price history, supported indicators, logic and define composition.
  • Supported schedules, timed exits and protections, subject to the strategy and sizing combination.

See strategy sections and sizing details.

Unavailable strategy forms

Pairs/spreads, option structures, dynamic named universes, pyramiding/tranches, Kelly or advanced solver sizing, and India/equity lot sizing are outside the runnable TradeScript contract. Use independent conditions or a supported fixed-universe portfolio instead.

size: 0.1 lots is for supported Forex currency pairs, not equity or derivatives lots.

Check the running environment

Instruments, scores, event feeds and indicators require the relevant data and provider support. Validation alone does not establish live execution or a historical Forex Max backtest. Resolve capability warnings before relying on a feature.

Check combinations, not just individual keywords

Combination Status / alternative
Conditional entries + percentage per instrument Supported independent sizing.
Conditional universe + total/active shared percentage Supported; the scopes have different allocation and rebalance behaviour.
Fixed list + hold: equal weight Supported target portfolio.
hold: + independent entry: Rejected: choose one strategy shape.
hold: + exit: Exit clauses are ignored with a warning; selection governs membership.
Stop-risk + fixed percentage stop Supported independent planned-risk sizing.
Stop-risk + ATR or absolute-price stop Rejected for this sizing method.
Fixed quantity + shared allocate: Rejected; quantities already supply the targets.
resize: + percentage or fixed units Rejected; scheduled resize is for volatility objectives.
opposite + active shared sizing or hold Unsupported; use an admitted independent conditional strategy.

A catalog includes names recognised by the language as well as functions requiring external inputs. Named-universe and options-related catalog entries do not override the unsupported strategy shapes above. Keywords show accepted spellings; errors explain a rejected combination.

Before moving from a draft to execution

Check the exact instrument identifiers, available history, indicator/factor inputs, shorting or Forex support where needed, capital settings and protection support. These are concrete dependencies of your rule. A parseable rule with an unavailable input cannot demonstrate the intended behaviour.
